Himalayan Tahr is a primitive form of wild goat evolve in south Asian and Middle East Himalayan region. It inhabits a narrow strip of steep habitat along the southern flank Himalayas. Himalayan Thar is recorded in more than 7/8 different places of high mountain. The most popular places are Dhorpatan Hunting Reserve, Everest National park, Annapurna Conservation areas, Kanchenjunga and Manaslu Himalayan region it also recorded in India and Bhutan.
Its habitat in the rugged wooded hills and mountain slopes of the Himalaya between the altitude range of 3000m to 38000m they do not habitat above than tree line seasonally migrated to adopt in harsh environmental condition of Himalayan region.
