Rara Lake Trek
Rara Lake is the largest lake of Nepal with 5km length and 5 km width. . This lake gives us a scenic beauty and filled in the backgrounrara_lake_trekd are the snow-capped mountains that make the scenery perfect. We are going to be able to witness the various kinds of the flora and fauna in our trekking too. Musk deer, leopards, ghorals, tahr, Himalayan black beer, and the rare red panda can be witnessed too. The park also contains many different kinds of birds too and some people especially come here for bird watching. During the trek, we will be able to enter and enjoy the beautiful trekking route. This lake is regarded by the Nepalese as”Queen of the Lakes”. This is also the lake that lies in the highest altitude of Nepal.

Upon your arrival at the Tribhuwan International Airport, you will be welcomed officially in Kathmandu and in Nepal formally by a representative of Noble Treks Nepal. You will then be escorted to a hotel for Check In. As per your wishes you will either be taken to a short visit to the City of Temples or stay in the hotel. However, this may not hamper the trekking preparation as we have to leave the very next day for Lukla. In the evening before dinner, you will meet with the guide of the tour and staffs. You can enjoy the excellent Nepali cuisine in an excellent Nepalese fashion afterwards.
After having breakfast, we will take you to some of the famous heritage sights in Kathmandu valley. We will take you to Kathmandu Durbar Square, Lalitpur Durbar Square, Bhaktapur Durbar Square, Pashupatinath, Swoyambhu and many more. These sites are all listed in the UNESCO world heritage sites. While you are doing all these, you will also be preparing for the trekking that starts from tomorrow.
After breakfast, you will be taken to Tribhuwan International Airport where you will make an hour long flight from Kathmandu to Nepalgunj. You will get a chance to have aerial view of the plains of the Terai region. The city of Nepalgunj is more like an Indian because the living lifestyle of this place highly resembles that of India and you will get chance to explore around the city. In the remaining time, you will get a chance to visit nearby villages and a mini-zoo of the same place. You will also get to know the diverse culture of Nepal too.
In the early morning, we are going to leave Nepalgunj. We have our flight waiting for us as we head towards to the administrative headquarters of the Karnali Zone. For many trekkers who go trekking in the Karnali zone, Jomsom is the starting point. Jomsom contains many small villages and schools and a zoo too. We will explore around the place and then we will stay overnight there.
Early morning we wake up enjoying wonderful views of the mountains above. Today, our trekking begins. Walking along the Jugad Khola, we are going to able to enjoy the views allaround. Then we will go across the Khalanga Bazzar. After having visited temples of many villages that we are going to pas through, we will reach Chere Chaur.
Today our trekking is mostly along the way with Jaljala Khola. hese There are many stupas erected around mostly of the 15th century, built in the memories of the respected dignitaries of the place. After going through a rocky trial, we will reach Chalachaur within minutes. This is where we spend the rest of the night.
Our path today, is along the Jaljala Khola. After passing through a pine forest, we will visit the 300 years old Kanaksundari Temple. After crossing a bridge, we will reach Sinja valey which lies on the western bank of the Sinja Khola. This valley holds an important place in the Nepalese history because, the valley was once a capital of Malla Kings. Overnight stay in Sinja valley.
Today our trekking route ascends upwards along the way of the Hima Khola. We will have to walk through a steep trial to reach Ghorosingha. After having crossed the Laha village, we will reach our destination for the day in within a short time, but through a relatively steep climb again.
We will be mesmerized by the parallel and unparallel beauty of the nature along the way that we are going to travel. The trial gives us extraordinary views of the mountains ahead. From the trial, we will also see the Rara lake surrounded by the forest and staying peaceful as it is always. We pass through Khatyar Khola Camp and Murma too. Then we reach Rara Lake to admire the beauty of the nature.
We have a full day to explore the Lake. There is a Observation Tower, of whose luxury we can enjoy to have a fascinating view of the lake. This lake is also the largest lake in all of Nepal. We can also enjoy boating in the lake too.
Today, we walk a path which is relatively very much straight. After we reach Gamghadi, though, the path has few ups and downs. Gamghadi is the headquarter of the Mugu district of Neapl. So, this place is a little bit more facilitated. From here, we spend the rest of the day descending towards the Pina village where we spend the rest of the night.
Today we cross the Ghurchi Lagna after descending downwards. But we then are able to reach Bumra after we pass through many villages on the way towards our destination. The trial is filled with several small chortens, alpine-like pastures and walnut groves.
After crossing for a two suspension bridges, we will cross the Danphe Lagna pass at 3691 m. After that, we will, reach Cherechaur from where we are going to follow the same path that we used several days ago.
Today, we are going to make two fights, one of which is returning to Nepalgunj and the other one is returning to the capital city of Nepal. The flights are filled with scenic beauty all around.
Today, we leave from Kathmandu to our home countries. Our representative from the company will take you to the Tribhuwan International Airport from where you will leave for your home country. If you ever wish to visit Nepal again in the future, we are always there to help you.

Yes, the food is very safe during the trekking and we recommend you to follow the suggestion of our guide on the trek.
While on the trek, Our porter is there for you to take care of your luggage. All you can do is carry a small bag for your personal belongings like camera, water bottle, sun cream etc.
This is just our customized package . If you want increase the days including other routes or increasing number days in trails then we can do that. We can customize the package as per your requirement. Along your trek we can add days at your request with additional costs to cover guides, porters, accommodation and food.
For you kind information Tipping is not required but it is a small gesture of thanks to your guides or local porters. There is no any required sum for the tip. You can give them as per your satisfaction with them.
Usually there is no required number of trekkers. A trekking group consists of four or more trekkers but we are happy to guide 3,2 or just 1 trekker. we are happy to be there for you.
