Trekking in Nepal is one the most popular activities. That is maybe why, 25% of the tourists coming to Nepal choose to trek in the most adventurous places of the country. Himalayan regions are considered the best places to trek in Nepal, because they give the trekkers what they are looking forward to- fun, thrill, excitement and finally a challenge. A challenge, which every trekker wants to fulfill once in their lifetime.
Everest Region, Langtang Region, Annapurna Region and many other trekking regions are filled with views of not only Spectatular Mountains, but also stunning landscapes. Most of the trekking routes travel through high altitudes and we also have to rest a day or two for acclimatization. On our way, we often encounter ridges, valleys, moraines, deep forests and rivers. They are sometimes easy to pass through, sometimes tough. Along the various trials that we travel, we can also enjoy the typical Sherpa and Tamang culture accompanied by various ethnic groups. They give us a heart-pleasuring welcome wherever we go. We can say that, the best way of enjoying the rich cultural diversity of Nepal is trekking though those villages themselves.
Many of the trekking routes are home to rare species of Nepal. And if we are lucky, we can see them too. For example Langtang region is the natural habitat to rare Red Panda in Nepal. Annapurna region is the natural habitat to Himalayan Thar in Nepal.
Everest trekking route, that has long dominated the trekking routes of the country, gives us the stunning and panoramic views of Mt. Everest accompanied by other mountains such as Mt. Lhotse and Mt. Cho Oyu. However, other trekking routes are also gaining popularity because of their awesomeness and uniqueness. For instance, after Annapurna and Langtang region, Dolpo region is emerging as one the leading trekking route. The main reason behind this being the fact that the place has long been untouched and it provides peace to our mind like no other region.
At the same time, to promote trekking in Nepal, Government of Nepal has opened new trekking routes in Nepal, focusing to expose the travelers to some of the untouched villages and vegetations. This helps the travelers in two ways, one that they have more option for their trekking routes and the other being that they don’t have to go through the busy trekking routes.
