Bardia National Park covers an area of 968 sq km, mainly filled with Sal forest and grasslands. Bardia NP has more than 407 species of birds with very rare Bengal florican and sarus crane residing under deep under its woods. Because of its huge area, suitable temperature and diversity, many birds have migrated here too. Our guide will help you distinguish between the migratory birds and the native birds and also provide you the details of the birds. It is very unlikely that even our guide will be able to know what kind of birds we are going to encounter at what time. But, with his expert knowledge, we will be able to make our way throughto those birds.

Today, we fly from Kathmandu to Nepalgunj and then head to Bardia National Park in a bus drive. We stay overnight in hotel. Depending on the time we reach there, we will go and explore the national park around.

Today, we will begin our bird watching tour where will discover many species of birds. We will also at the same time, explore around the national park and have a look around. We can choose to walk or we can choose to go elephant riding, where we will be able to able to see many rare and endangered species of birds. Bengal florican, white-rumped vulture, peafowl, and bar-headed geese are typically found in this national park of Nepal. So, we can also call them symbols of the park.

Today also, we explore around the place and get to know the variety of the birds. Lesser florican and sarus crane are present; grey-crowned prinia, jungle prinia, pale-footed bush warbler, aberrant bush warbler, striated grassbird, golden-headed cisticola and chestnut-capped babbler and many other species of birds can be seen around. However, we will also be able to target certain species as per your wants too. Ruddy Shelduck, dartersoriental pied hornbills, night heron & purple heron, brahmini kites, brown headed gulls, cormorants, cinnaon bitterns, orioles and peacocks can also be found all around. Changunarayan is one of the ten world heritage sites in Nepal that have been recognized by the UNESCO.
