The act of pilgrimage takes place when one travels to different sacred places in search of spiritual significance. We can say that going on this tour is kind of fortunate because it is supposed to wash away our sins. Moreover, we can also claim that after going to most of the Sacred places, we can start our lives fresh. And it will help us in positive way, as we are bonded to Gods too. This tour is more like a pilgrimage where one gets to visit the various from sacred places to places. This will take the travelers to some of the most sacred places. It is also believed that visiting the holy places is going to wash their sins away. Moreover, we have an advantage of traveling to various places with historical and architectural importance. Another mentionable importance of this tour is that we are more likely to meet like-minded people. We meet other people in the spiritual path like ourselves. Today, we are going arrive in the holy land of Lord Pashupatinath. When you arrive in Kathmandu at Tribhwan International Airport, we will be waiting to greet you. A representative from Noble Treks will be waiting for you and he will escort you to your hotel for Check In. Depending on the time of your arrival, you will go for a walk around the valley or just spend the time with members of Noble Treks. At the night, you will enjoy an excellent Nepali cuisine.
Today, we are going to start our Hindu tour. As we, move around the valley visiting the holy places, we will be amazed by the historical and the architectural background of those monuments too. We will visit Pashupatinath Temple, the temple of Lord Shiva. A visit to this Temple, according to legend, will absolve and free us from all our sins.Another place we are going to visit is the Budhanilkantha. The literary meaning of Budhanilkantha means the old blue throat. It is probably the largest single stone sculpture in Nepal. The statue rests on the middle of the pool of water and is supported by the SheshNag and its coiled body structure. It is also one of the oldest statues of Nepal. It is believed to have been found by farmers while plowing the field. Next we visit the Changunarayan Temple, which is a master piece of monuments. It has a history of its own relating to Lord Vishnu. That is why, many of the sculptures and arts are related to Lord Vishnu. Apart from this we can also find the temples dedicated to Lord Shiva, Kaileswor and Lord Krishna too. It is also believed to be the oldest temple of Nepal. And it is also one of the World Heritage Sites in Nepal. We stay again in the same hotel that we stayed in yesterday.
Today, we leave for Pokhara. On the way, we will be visiting the Manakamana Temple. The literal meaning of the temple is that it fulfills our wishes of our hearts. That’s why it is believed that the goddess will fulfill the wishes of her devotees who pay a visit to her. The temple also offers a magnificent view of mountains on the back. Annapuna range can be seen from the Temple. The temple is square in shape and is four storied. Previously, while visiting the temple, one had to walk all the way uphill but now there is cable car system. One can reach the Temple after 10 minutes of travelling through the cable car.
After visiting the temple, we will be heading again on our way to Pokhara. Once we reach Pokhara we will check in to our hotel. Depending on the time of the arrival, we are going for a evening walk, or cycling or just enjoy the views from the hotel
Today, we are going to visit the major Hindu religious places of Pokhara. Namely they are Bindabasani, Tal Barahi and Gupteswor cave. After having breakfast early in the morning, we will go to Phewa Lake for boating. At the very occasion, we will also visit the Tal Barahi Temple. The temple is a very unique one because; it is in the middle of the lake inside an island like structure. The temple hosts Goddess Durga (Barahi) and she is also known as the protector of gods. That’s why this temple holds so much significance in the hearts of the pilgrimages.
Our next destination is Baindabasani Temple. This temple is dedicated to the Hindu goddess Durga. Durga is the chosen deity of Pokhara. In this particular temple, she is shown as a blood thirsty goddess among other manifestations. It is also believed that the temple was built by king Khadag Bum Malla after goddess ordered him to set her statue in this particular place in 1845 BS.
After this, our next visiting place is Gupteshwor Cave and Davi’s falls. The Cave contains a Temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. Near the temple, there is a recent and artificial addition of a cow of real size. If we put a marble, which the Pujari gives us, then the milk will start leaking from the udder. Going forward, we will have a magnificent view of the open Cave. There water flows from the Davi’ falls.
Today we are going to leave Pokhara for Muktinath. Muktinath is a sacred place. Hindus and Buddhists both worship Muktinath. It is also a symbol of how two religions can exist together, peacefully. It lies at an altitude of 3,710m, at the bottom Thorong La Pass. The literary meaning of “Muktinath” is “place of liberation or salvation”. This place is one of the 108 Dibya Desam, which means that is regarded sacred in Vaisnavism. Temple hosts natural Shaligram, one of the forms of Lord Vishnu. The importance of this place is also described in the Vishnu Puran.
From Jomsom, we return back to Pokhara through a scenic flight above the mountains. After that we return back to Kathamndu on the same day.
We make a 30 minutes flight to Pokhara. The flight is very much similar to the first one that you made after coming to Kathmandu. However, you might get views of the mighty Himalayas if you previously didn’t get a chance to catch them. There will be no spare time as we leave for Kathmandu on the same day. After that a scenic drive to Kathmandu again. Overnight stay in a hotel.
day, we are going to return to our motherland. We are going to have to say goodbye. We leave from Kathmandu to our home countries. Our representative from the company will take you to the Tribhuwan International Airport from where you will take our leave.
