Dolpo region is one the isolated and remotest places in which lies at the Northern part of Nepal. This place is a “hidden valley” where many people follow the Bon-Po sect of the Buddhist religion. The people are dependent on the animal husbandry that can be done from little of the agriculture and the grazing fields of that place. They also somehow are dependent on the tourism sector but it has not hampered their customs and traditions. A large portion of the Dolpo region has been separated as the national park of Shey-phoksundo, which means that we are going to encounter endangered flora and fauna too.

Our trekking starts from Kathmandu, after we go to Nepalgunj through a flight and after that to Jhupal from where the actual trekking starts. We trek to Dunai, tarakot, Laina and many more villages on the way enjoying the nature and many of the cultural shows that the people will do for us. We explore vatious monasteries and going past them, on our trial to Dhotarap, it will just be a experience that we will remember for a lifetime. After a acclimatization day, we will move forward to the Namu-La base camp where we will get one of the most scenic views of the place. The panoramic view of the place and the mountains that lie ahead us make the scenery just perfect. Then, we will go to Ringmo where we will enjoy the pleasant sight of the Phoksundo Lake. After that we trek to Jhupal via Chhepka and return to Kathmandu just like we travelled there.

Upon your arrival at the Tribhuwan International Airport, you will be welcomed officially in Kathmandu and in Nepal formally by a representative of Noble Treks Nepal. You will then be escorted to a hotel for Check In. As per your wishes you will either be taken to a short visit to the City of Temples or stay in the hotel. In the evening before dinner, you will meet with the guide of the tour and staffs. You can enjoy the excellent Nepali cuisine in an excellent Nepalese fashion afterwards.

After having breakfast, we will take you to some of the famous heritage sights in Kathmandu valley. We will take you to Kathmandu Durbar Square, Lalitpur Durbar Square, Bhaktapur Durbar Square, Pashupatinath, Swoyambhu and many more. These sites are all listed in the UNESCO world heritage sites. While you are doing all these, you will also be preparing for the trekking that starts from tomorrow.

After breakfast, you will be taken to Tribhuwan International Airport where you will make an hour long flight from Kathmandu to Nepalgunj. You will get a chance to have aerial view of the plains of the Terai region. The city of Nepalgunj is more like an Indian because the living lifestyle of this place highly resembles that of India and you will get chance to explore around the city. In the remaining time, you will get a chance to visit nearby villages and a mini-zoo of the same place. You will also get to know the diverse culture of Nepal too.

Early in the morning we make a flight to Jhupal. The flight is of nearly 45 minutes, with the aerial views of Annapurna and Dhaulagiri mountains on the northern side. After flying above the Himalayas, we will have to make a trek of 3 hours to Dunai. This is the starting of a wonderful trekking journey, by the end of which, it will have already been a life-changing experience. After uniting with the other members of the trek, we will then trek from the airstrip to Dunai through terraced farms and narrow gorge, of Bheri River. Dunai is also the administrative headquarter of Dolpo region that is dolpa district. As we will have some time left, we will explore the village too. The village is comparatively larger than other villages of this place.

We continue down to bheri river today and walk alongside the river. Now, we are going to come across many gorges, villages and bridges which we will leave behind only after we do a short inspection at each one of them. The trial is totally full with the local villagers bringing stuffs in the donkeys. Then after a while, we will arrive at Tarakot, where we will spend the rest of the day.

Today, we will have to walk through the Tarap Chu River, and cross it twice. Then, we reach Sandul Gompa where we will spend some time to pay a visit to the monastery. After crossing many villages filled with farms we will reach Laina within a short period of time. We must say that the trial is full of ups and downs. This is where we will be staying in the night.

This day is yet again filled with many ups and downs. Along the way, we will be walking through the Dho Tarap Khola. This river is the beginning point of the Thuli Bheir River. Along the way, we will be enjoying the views all around and then we will also be Rocky Mountains and wild animals too that will be accompanying us at many times. We will reach Toltol after an amazing trial. After that we will be tenting ourselves next to the river.

Our trekking today is a start beyond the tree lines. However, there are some bushes and flowers that do not typically reflect a forest. Gradually trekking up to Dhotarap we will be reaching the valley after trekking for 2 more hours. The valley is surrounded by irregular stone walls and Bon Po and Chaiba religious sects.

Today, we will rest in Dhotarap valley for our body to acclimatize and regain our lost strength for the further trekking. We are going to explore the valley and while we are doing that, we will also have a close look at the local culture of the people who stay there. Mainly we are going to visit the Boon Po monasteries and also the Crystal Mountain School that provides some quality educatin to the locals.

Today, we continue our trek to Tokyu. Tokyu is a village which lies in the same valley. First we cross a small and then visit the newly built monastery. The trial has grazing fields on both of it’s sides which is very unique. We reach Tokyu, whichahs a monastery oof the Chaiba sect of the Budhist religion. Then, we reach Namu La Camp after a short trekking.

Today, we are going ot deal with some rough trial and walk on the top of the ridge. The ridge gives us an excellent view of both the barren mountains and the Mt. Dhaulagiri that is standing tall there. We go to Namu La and then we descend to reach Pelung tang (4464m), from where we walk firmly to reach Danigar. This place also has the Banga la Base Camp. And we are going ot explore going even though it’s going to be one of the toughest day of our journey.

After crossing the Panklanga Khola, we are going to ascend to reach Bang La. After about 3 hours of trekking, we are going to be blessed with the wonderful views of the mountains all around and the landscape of mountains makes this place even more interesting and beautiful. We reach Yak Kharka by the end of the day and we will stay overnight in a camp.

Today, we travel through the pasture lands and the pine forests that make our most of the trekking trial. After travelling through gradual ups and downs, we will reach Ringmo. We will enjoy the Phoksundo lake too, on our way too. Phoksundo lake is also very much important for th3e Hindus too and the at the different, thousands of people gather here for the religious purpose.

After enjoying the Phoksundo lake, and enjoying the culture of the Ringmo village, we will go to Chhepka village. We will also be going to through various birch forests and enjoy the scenery of the village and all of it while we can. We pass through Anchi Hospital where there are monks who help the people there with herbs and other medication. We gradually reach Chhepka.

We enjoy beautiful landscapes as seen from the trekking route. You might remember this route because this is the same route from where you started your trekking. We pass through Dhupichaur, Rupgad, Kalagaonda and Motipur villages. After that we reach Jhuphal. As the trekkingis only oof 3 hours, you have plenty of time to rest and if you want to then you can explore around the place too.
