Mardi Himal Trek is one of the well-known and peaceful trekking route situated in between two popular treks Annapurna Base Camp Trek and Ghorepani Poon Hill Trek. The mountain views from Mardi Himal are superb including Annapurna South, Mount Machhapuchhre (also known as Fishtail) and Mount Hiunchuli. Mardi Himal Trekking is a classic trekking route to give you taste of unspoiled culture and village, wildlife, panoramic mountain views and range of landscape from forest to high alpine.
Our starting point to continue our journey is Pokhara. Within an hour’s ride we will reach to Phedi where we will begin our trek. Moving upwards from Phedi strolling past crops and houses and hit a flat stretch of land we will reach to Dhampus within couple of hours. Then the trail through varied terrain will take us to Pothana with interesting due to surrounding mountains views which will bound long distances with glee.
Continuing our walk will take us to Pitam Deurali The trail is mostly inside the green forests of oak, maple, hemlock and rhododendron which is peaceful and amazing experience.And within 3-4 hrs with some ups and downs we will reach to Forest Camp.
We will be having pleasant time today since have to walk inside the forest with peaceful route. Firstly, the trail is steep however it changes to gradual climbing after a while. Meanwhile we will have some random views of snowy Himalayan peaks amazing view of Machhapuchhre peak.
With stunning views of close Himalayas here we climb higher the route also becomes open and spacious as there is no forest anymore. The trail continues through grasslands of high region with occasional rhododendron trees. We move towards High camp for overnight stay at camp.
After visualizing such wonderful scenario we will now stroll back to Mardi Base camp. With the magnificent views of close Himalayan peaks.
Then we will stroll down to the siding visualizing the remarkable mountains views along Paddy field we will head forward for Mardipul.
Then crossing the paddy field the trail passes along the bank of the Seti Khola and trail further drops down at the river to Mardipul.
Finally descending down the east bank of the Seti we will reach to Pokhara in about 5 hours. Rest time you can utilize to relax or in explore the stunning natural beauty of the city of Pokhara.
